Please Note : Houses are generally unfurnished. However, furnished Offices can be found.  Staff Costs Houses come equipped with fans, lights, geysers(hot boilers). Almost all of them have a servant quarter and car parking facility. Garage may be there in few cases. Telephone is easy to get. In Power cut zones, (List of Areas without Power Problem or Cuts) tenants have to install their own generators. Permission for this from the owner is generally granted. Painting and Polishing is done by the owners in most of the cases. Owner does not do any painting during the currency of the lease. (Sample Draft of Lease) Tenants are normally not expected to paint the premises on handing over the vacant possession back to the owner. Exceptions to this rule are there ofcourse. Domestic Help is easily available and with references. Very Important: It is important that the Financial Terms that are prevalent in New Delhi be known.
